Help out Toysrevil's Andy and support the toy community!

Tomopop via Help out Toysrevil’s Andy and support the toy community!.

Those of us who are fans of designer vinyl are very familiar with Andy Heng, the one-man force behind well-known toy blog toysrevil. Based in Singapore, he’s long been not only a blogger of the vinyl scene as it’s grown and an occasional toy customizer himself, but has helped in part to shine a light on many artists from around the world who’ve been up and coming. But now, after having given so much to the vinyl world, it’s Andy who needs our help.

Early this morning Eastern time, Andy suffered a minor stroke and had to be rushed to the hospital. From the most recent update on his Facebook page from his sister, Cindy, we know he’s still in the hospital under observation and can’t communicate right now. Updates on his condition are likely to be posted there first, so keep it bookmarked for the moment.

However, the vinyl community who helped him so much is now coming out in force to help repay the favor. Phu! is selling off 10 of his artist proof Yokas with all proceeds going to Andy to help with medical bills. Motorbot is planning a sale of Red and Black Morgons on his shop for the same reason. Cris Rose is gathering collections for a sale to help Andy out as well, and the outpouring of support and requests to donate on Twitter is like nothing I’ve seen before: I think every single artist I currently follow and many more have already stepped up to help out. We’ll keep you updated on everything going on in this regard as well.

We ask that you keep Andy in your thoughts and the entire Tomopop crew wishes him a quick and full recovery.

You are in our thoughts and hearts! Get well soon!
