Apparently this holiday season has come full force around the Powell St sector. Ain’t nothing remotely new; blaring multi-colored energy draining lights blinkin’ in and out of obscurity, spray painted gold macaroni kid created trees decoratin’ the windows, red and white stripped candy canes fixated on red and green ribbons. We too have succumbed to these cultural motions. Though what we have to offer, in terms of decorations, this holiday season is a custom painted Santa Yoda done by our friend from Down Under, Djuul Price. Check it out if you have the chance. Also venture upstairs for our Tiny Shop installation.

As the world moves bigger, faster and stronger, we occasionally seek comfort in little things. tinyshop celebrates the preciousness of “mini” — the shortest distance between 2 points, the space of minutiae, and creative endeavors on a small scale.
Unique objects and art by various international artists and designers, make up the space of tinyshop. Special events will be held throughout the shop’s lifespan, pondering the tiny theme. Fun-spirited folks and magnifying glasses are most welcome.
